about us

A message from the Principal

Since 1885 Baltydaniel N.S. has been providing a first rate service for the education of young children to the local community of Doneraile and it’s surrounding area. It is a Catholic, co-educational primary school, caring for approx. 155 pupils. While we have a Catholic ethos we are also sensitive to the religious beliefs of others. Over the years we have established a reputation of a high standard of education, a secure , caring, happy and well- ordered environment for all it’s pupils. It is a modern and well equipped facility with a large extension completed as recently as September 2011.

Over the years our school is continually at the forefront of new and exciting developments for Primary Schools. Some of these innovative initiatives are our Green Schools Project, our Active Flag and our Health Promoting School status. No challenge is too demanding for our committed, energetic and highly qualified staff. Whether it’s the introduction of new programmes or creating new opportunities for our students Baltydaniel is continually promoting excellence in all aspects of school life for the children that attend it.

The success of our students in swimming, athletics, hurling and football, school quizzes and many more are a great source of pride to everyone associated with our school.

We strive to provide the holistic development of all students. Every individual student brings something unique to our school and we value and nuture this. We aim to bring out the best in them and subsequently help them to grow into well-rounded, responsible, happy, young adults.

Mol na hóige agus tiocfaidh siad.

As you read through our school website I hope it gives you a taste of the many facets associated with life in Baltydaniel N.S.
