Interschools Chess Tournament

On Thursday 19th March our chess team travelled to Killavullen to take part in this competition. Everybody played really well and all the children enjoyed it. A special well done to Lauren Gleeson O Callaghan who won third place overall!100_0449 100_0443

Chess League

Well done to David Duane, runner up, and Bill Kingston winner of the Lunchtime Chess League. It was a very long and intense final. Thanks also to Georgina for organising it.

5th & 6th Class Computer Science Education Projects

The Hour of Code 2014 event runs globally this week Dec. 8th-14th in celebration of Computer Science Education Week, designed to demystify code and show that every studenty can learn computer science. Our 5th and 6th Class pupils who have been learning Scratch since September, have made animated Christmas projects and will present them to the other classes in the school next week.

President Higgins visits Mallow

Thank you to all the children and parents who travelled into Mallow last Friday for the Presidents visit, the children really enjoyed it.

Parents Association Table Quiz

This years table quiz was a great success and there was a big turn out on the night. Thank you to everybody involved and congratulations to the winners and runners up. There were plenty of spot prizes on the night thank you to all who donated these it is much appreciated. We hope everybody enjoyed the night!

3rd to 6th Class Friendship Assembly

Many thanks to all our families that added to our Friendship Week with their homebaking. We had a wonderful morning singing, laughing, sharing etc. The week proved to be successful as the feedback from the children was all very positive so we will certainly be hoping to do it again next year!
